Addressing dog behavioural concerns can be complex.
Heart Hounds will thoroughly analyse your dogs’ problem and daily behaviour, to ensure an appropriate behaviour modification plan can be created and applied. Canine behaviourists aim to understand the function, motivation and reinforcement driving behaviours, which ensures we create both ethical and effective behaviour change.
Heart Hounds happily includes all of your dog’s care providers in their behaviour modification plan. Upon request, sessions can be booked for your dog’s walker, groomer ect. to attend, or consultation/training notes shared.
All clients are required to visit their veterinarian before making a booking. They may also be requested to re-visit at any point while working with Heart Hounds, as more information about your dog is uncovered. This standard requirement aims to rule-out common medical causes of problem behaviour. Some studies have found as many as 80% of behaviour cases to involve a driving element of pain [1]. If the cause can be addressed, the behaviour may often reduce/disappear without training!
Jessica offers in-person consultations for the Trafford, Salford and Central Manchester regions.
Remote/online dog behaviour consultations are available for all other UK locations.
